AZOSS-CAPS are capsules contains a free living aerobic nitrogen fixing bacterium known as Azospirillium. It symbiotically associates with the rhizophere of non-leguminous crop and fixes considerableamount of atompheric nitrogen and makes it available to plant. Azospirillum is microaerophilic and surface colonising bacteria. They are also microaerophilic and can survive in low oxygen conditions.
