NOTE: For the first year donot immidietaly substitute 100% chemical fertilizer with the SIESTO GREEN products, as the soil is used to chemical fertilizer, it may affect the output. So the best way to substitute is by reducing 50% of chemical input in the first year, 25% the following 2nd year, & then another 10% by the 3rd year. After the 3rd year use synthetic fertilizer / inorganic fertilizer if their is a requirement depending on the soil health.

IDENTIFICATION IN CROP
SYMPTOMS
SUGGESTED PRODUCT
Stem girdling beetle
Withering, drooping and death of the portion above the lower girdle to a length varying from 5 - 50 cm thus resulting in loss of fibre yield
Lifeline + Traps + Meta
Jute weevil
The adult weevil excavates a small hole on the stem and oviposits. The grubs tunnel into the pith. Due to damage a gall-like swelling is formed
Lifeline + Traps + Meta
Spodoptera exigua
The caterpillars, on hatching, gather on the leaf surface, the epidermis of which they eat. At this young stage, they are also in the habit of webbing together either several leaflets or the margin of the same large leaf.

KEY FARMING POINTS
KEY FARMING POINTS
SOIL TYPE = Alluvial sandy loam, clay loamy soils are best suited for jute production. CLIMATE / TEMPERATURE = Jute is a rainy season crop, sown from March to May according to rainfall and type of land. It is harvested from June to September depending upon whether the sowings are early or late Jute requires a warm and humid climate with temperature between 24° C to 37° C. SPACING = Seeds can be sown either by broadcasting or by line sowing 25 x 5 cm. MANURING & FERTILIZATION = Fertilizer requirements depend on the fertility or quality of the soil. WATER MANAGEMENT = Jute crop requires 500 mm of water. First irrigation is to be given after sowing and life irrigation on fourth day after sowing. Afterwards irrigation can be given once in 15 days. Harvesting = Jute crop can be harvested from 100 to 110 DAS but can be extended from 120 - 135 DAS depending on local cropping systems. Jute plants are left in the field for 3 - 4 days for leaf shedding. Then thick and thin plants are sorted out and bundled in convenient size. YIELD = Green plant weight yield is 45 to 50 tonnes per hectare Fibre yield is 2.0 to 2.5 tonnes per hectare.NOTE: Seed Treatment kit is optional. Bio-pesticides or Bio-fungicides can be applied on a preventive dosage or when any pest, fungal or bacterial diseases are identified. Recommended dosage on this crop schedule can vary depending on soil health, environmental conditions, and pest attacks. 1-acre POORNIMA KIT contains: - NPK caps = 2 caps Zinc caps = 1 cap Cropforce Nano Powder = 120gm Humigrow Nano Powder = 120 gm Mycorrhiza nano powder = 100 gm PRECAUTIONS: - Biofertilizer is not a chemical fertilizer hence do not mix with agrochemicals. Do not expose to direct sunlight or heat. Use Bio-fertilizer before or after 3-4 days of use of chemical fertilizer. Please, clean the sprayer before the use of Bio-fertilizer or bio-pesticide.
