NOTE: For the first year donot immidietaly substitute 100% chemical fertilizer with the SIESTO GREEN products, as the soil is used to chemical fertilizer, it may affect the output. So the best way to substitute is by reducing 50% of chemical input in the first year, 25% the following 2nd year, & then another 10% by the 3rd year. After the 3rd year use synthetic fertilizer / inorganic fertilizer if their is a requirement depending on the soil health.

CROP SCHEDULE FOR POTATO

Sr. No. Treatment / Application Product Dose / Acre APPLICATION Management 1 Vegetative – Dissolve in 20 to 200 ltr. of water as required for 1 acre of land and apply through Drip Irrigation or drench. POORNIMA KIT 1 KIT Apply it in week 1 and 9 It is a balanced form of nutrients that includes NPK, Zinc, Cropforce NP, Humigrow NP, and Mycorrhiza NP 2 Vegetative – Mix with the required amount of water and apply through drip irrigation, flood irrigation, or drenching as per farmer’s availability. NPK + Humigrow 2 caps + 120gm Apply it in week 5 & 13 It is a balanced form of Nutrition that includes NPK with Humic substance. 3 Root Development – Mix it in the required amount of water and apply it through Drip irrigation or Drench near the plants. ALP + Sonha-bihan 250gm + 250gm/200 lit. of water Apply it in week 7 It is a Micronutrient and PGP that helps in Growth, Fruit set, and the quality of the produce. 4 Vegetative and Flowering/ Fruiting – Mix all with the required amount of water and apply through foliar spray or drenching as per infestation of insect. Amavasya kit 1 KIT Apply it in week 8 It is a balanced form of insecticides. Which include Traps, lifeline, Bt, Acarida, and Meta capsules. 5 Soil Treatment – Dissolve in 2 – 5 liters of water as per requirement for 1 acre of land and spray on the soil, or mix it with soil, FYM, or any sort of organic fertilizer and broadcast it to the field. IBP KIT 1 KIT Apply it as soil treatment before sowing/transplanting. It prevents soil-born diseases and nematodes. Apply as per the soil health and soil-born diseases.

PEST ATTACKS, BACTERIAL, OR FUNGAL MANAGEMENT

PEST / BACTERIAL / FUNGALIDENTIFICATION IN CROPSYMPTOMSSUGGESTED PRODUCTBacterial wiltInfected plant begins to wilt, starting from the tips of the leaves or where the stems branch out, and then spreading to all parts of the plant. Leaves become yellow at their bases, and then the whole plant wilts and dies. When stems are cut a brown colored ring will be visible.Bacillus + Indofa + LifelineSeptoria Leaf spotSmall, round to irregular spots with a grey center and dark margin on leaves. Spots usually start on lower leaves and gradually advance upwards.IndofaLate BlightThis disease damages leaves, stems, and tubers. Affected leaves appear blistered as if scalded by hot water and eventually rot and dry out.Indofa + BacillusEarly BlightThis is a common disease of potatoes occurring on the foliage at any stage of the growth and causes characteristic leaf spots and blight.Indofa + BacillusCommon scabSymptoms of common potato scabs are quite variable and are manifested on the surface of the potato tuber. The disease forms several types of cork-like lesions including surface.Bacillus Subtilis + BacillusBlack Scurf / CankerRhizoctonia canker occurs when stolons contact soil-borne fungal bodies. Pathogen infects plant tissue and causes stolon blinding thus reducing tuber production and yield.Bacillus Subtilis + BacillusPink RotFoliar symptoms of underground infections include wilting and chlorosis. Tubers become infected through diseased stolons and show darkened diseased areas on the skin.Bacillus Subtilis + BacillusAphidAphids damage plants by puncturing them and sucking their juices. They damage the young and soft parts of plants, such as new leaves and shoots.Lifeline + Traps + Meta + BT

NUTRITION DEFICIENCY

NUTRIENT IDENTIFICATION SYMPTOMS SUGGESTED PRODUCT Nitrogen The yellowing in nitrogen deficiency is uniform over the entire leaf including the veins. Azoss Caps Phosphorus The symptoms first develop on older leaves showing some necrotic spots and plants are dwarfed or stunted. PSB Plus Potassium Since potassium is very mobile within the plant, symptoms only develop on young and full-sized leaves in the case of extreme deficiency. Potash Grow Iron The iron-deficient leaves show strong chlorosis at the base of the leaves with some green netting. ALP Manganese The early stages of chlorosis induced by manganese deficiency are somewhat similar to iron deficiency. ALP Zinc In the early stages of zinc deficiency, the younger leaves become yellow and pitting develops in the interveinal upper surfaces of the mature leaves. Zinc Grow Caps Sulphur These leaves show general overall chlorosis. The veins and petioles show a very distinct reddish color. Sulphur Caps

KEY FARMING POINTS

KEY FARMING POINTS

SOIL TYPE = Loamy soil, sandy loam, silt loam, clay soil, and other types of soil can all be used to grow potatoes. SOIL PH = The maximum soil pH for growing potatoes ranges from 5.0 to 6.0. Potatoes will tolerate overgrown up to 4.5 and 8.0 in high pH soil, but the crop will suffer. Potatoes grown in soil with 7.5 and higher pH will face phosphorus use and other micronutrient deficiencies, although they are present in the soil. CLIMATE / TEMPERATURE = Since potatoes are a cool-season crop, locations with a cool climate, fertile soil, and adequate moisture are ideal for growing them. The ideal soil temperature for growing potatoes is (16 to 21 degrees Celsius)Tuber growth is sharply inhibited when below 10°Cand above 30°C. SEASON OF PLANTING = As a result, the planting season differs from one place to another. MANURING & FERTILIZATION = Fertilizer requirements depend on the fertility or quality of the soil. WATER MANAGEMENT = Potatoes require a good amount of water for growth. The amount of water required depends on climatic conditions and the length of the growing season. A good potato crop requires 400 to 800 mmof water. At a plant population of 40,000 plants per hectare, this corresponds to 100 to 200 liters of water per plant per growing season. HARVESTING DURATION = The best time to harvest potatoes depends on the area of sowing, soil type, and variety. In general, the best harvesting time for potatoes is 75-120 daysafter planting. YIELD = Average yield of potatoes ranges between 10 – 25 tons per hectare NOTE: Seed Treatment kit is optional. Bio-pesticides or Bio-fungicides can be applied on a preventive dosage or when any pest, fungal or bacterial diseases are identified. Recommended dosage on this crop schedule can vary depending on soil health, environmental conditions, and pest attacks. 1-acre POORNIMA KIT contains: - NPK caps = 2 caps Zinc caps = 1 cap Cropforce Nano Powder = 120gm Humigrow Nano Powder = 120 gm Mycorrhiza nano powder = 100 gm PRECAUTIONS: - Biofertilizer is not a chemical fertilizer hence do not mix with agrochemicals. Do not expose to direct sunlight or heat. Use Bio-fertilizer before or after 3-4 days of use of chemical fertilizer. Please, clean the sprayer before the use of Bio-fertilizer or bio-pesticide.
