RHIZO

RHIZOBIUM

Rhizobium bacteria fulfill the nitrogen requirement of plants by forming root nodules on legume plants and enhance plant growth through atmospheric nitrogen fixation.

Rhizobium bacteria are a group of soil-dwelling bacteria that form a symbiotic relationship with the roots of leguminous plants, such as peas, beans, and clover. This unique association enables Rhizobium to convert atmospheric nitrogen into a plant-usable form through a process called nitrogen fixation.

Per Acre Required = Minimum 1 capsules, Recommended 2 or 3 (Over Dose Has No Side Effects)

PACKAGING

A packet contains 2 or 6 capsules. A box contains 20 packets (40 or 120 capsules). A carton contains 5 boxes (200 or 600 capsules).

APPLICATION TIMING

During soil preparation,

For seed treatment,

Within 3 days of the Full Moon each month, or

During Vegetative & Flowering/fruiting stage.

BENEFITS OF RHIZO

It attaches to the roots of the leguminous plants and produces nodules. These nodules fix atmospheric nitrogen and convert it into ammonia, which the plant can use for its growth and development. Forming a symbiotic relationship with leguminous plants, Rhizobium bacteria colonize the root nodules, creating a mutually beneficial partnership where the plant supplies carbohydrates, and the bacteria provide fixed nitrogen. The use of Rhizobium contributes to environmentally sustainable agriculture by promoting natural nitrogen fixation processes, reducing greenhouse gas emissions associated with fertilizer production, and minimizing nitrogen run-off.

RECOMMENDATION

It can be use in leguminous crops and not in non-leguminous crops. Inoculate seeds or the planting area with the appropriate Rhizobium strain at the recommended dosage during the early stages of crop development. Consider crop rotation strategies to maximize the impact of Rhizobium on soil health and nutrient cycling.

RECOMMENDED DOSAGE

Minimum 1 capsule per acre, with 2 to 3 capsules recommended for optimal results.
*Overdosing has no side effects.

SPECIFICATION OF RHIZO CAPSULE

The suitable base material in powder form, along with Rhizobium microorganisms, is encapsulated in a Hard Gelatin capsule. Biocapsule is a method of packaging the microbial agent in powder form.

Carrier Type: The base material filled in the Biocapsule, favors the growth of the Rhizobium microorganisms.

Total Viable Count: Higher microbial population: 1 x 1012 CFU per capsule.

Particle Size: The powder filled in the hard gelatin capsule will pass through a 0.150 - 0.212 mm IS Sieve, thus complying with the particle size parameter.

Moisture Content: Maximum 1% by weight.

Contamination: No contamination will occur at a 105 dilution.

Hazardous Ingredients: None according to controlled product regulations.

Pathogenic Nature: Non-pathogenic and beneficial microorganisms.

pH: 6.5 - 7.5

Temperature Ranges: Tolerates 10°C – 50°C (Optimum Temperature: 28°C – 30°C).

Biocapsule Colour: Pale yellow.

Dimension/Size: 00 / 23.6 mm.

Weight: 0.9 - 1.0 gm.

Odour: Specific Odour.

Melting Point: 50 - 60 °C.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Protect from direct sunlight and moisture.

Dissolution: Easily dissolved in lukewarm water. For complete dissolution, the Biocapsule can be kept overnight in water.

Efficiency Character:

The efficiency character of the Rhizobium species will be determined through quantitative estimation methods as per FCO guidelines, consistent with the evaluation of individual biofertilizers.

The encapsulation technology (Biocapsule) will not interfere with the efficiency character of the Rhizobium strain.

Note: - Do not mix chemical fertilizers with these biofertilizer, as it is likely to reduce the microbial population. Biofertilizers are preferred over chemical fertilizers because they are not harmful. These biofertilizer capsules are carrier-based inoculants containing beneficial, efficient, and effective microorganisms that help in enhancing soil fertility
